Building in the Most Remote Parts of B.C. and Beyond
Some people think that Vancouver Island is “remote”. While we have built custom homes in the most isolated regions of Vancouver Island, we don’t stop there. We’ve worked across the Gulf Islands and up the west coast, from the 49th Parallel to Alaska, and throughout the interior. Wherever you can imagine putting a house, we can build one to the same high standards that we can in the middle of Victoria or Vancouver.
Getting Manpower, Materials, and Machinery Where They Need to Be
Transporting materials and machinery to a remote build is almost as difficult as the build itself, but we’ve got extensive experience dealing with the logistical issues that remote builds entail. Whether by ferry, barge, helicopter, crew boat, or otherwise, we’ll find a way to make sure the machinery, materials, and manpower get to the site on time, and without eating up all of your budget.
How Remote?
We’ve built homes in the mountains, on private islands, by land, by sea, and by air. We’re flexible and cater to each client’s unique requests, working with no electric or pneumatic tools, solar power, traditional timber framing techniques with civil-war era beams shipped from the southeast United States, and countless other restraints that put our creativity to the test. No project is too remote or challenging, but if you’d like to test that out, we encourage you to contact us.
